CHS Theatre Company

The CHS Theatre Company is a high school theatre company. They put on 2-4 shows a year at Centerstage Theatre in Coopersville, Michigan. The cast and crew are made up of high school students from Coopersville High School. The company was most recently nominated for the Sutton Foster Awards "Best Musical". Recent graduates Ben Tibbets and Sadie Huizen were also nominated for a Sutton Foster Award for their portrayal of Maria and Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music.  Director Sara Heacox was awarded the 2018 Excellence in Theatre Education Award at the Sutton Foster Ovation Awards.

 

 

CHS Theatre Company prides itself on presenting quality theatre, nurturing aspiring performers, and making theatre fun and accessible for everyone.

In addition to The Sound of Music, past productions have included 12 Angry Jurors, You Can't Take It With You, Grease, The 39 Steps, Beauty and the Beast, In the Heights, and The Importance of Being Ernest. This year CHS Theatre Company will present 12 Angry Jurors and Cinderella as well as two smaller works.
